MATCHUP AT A GLANCE

NOT WHAT YOU WOULD EXPECT

With their performance on Wednesday, the Foothill Owls have now scored 90 or more points in two games this season. Both took place at home and ended with a perfect 2-0 record. Although the Owls tend to hit on all cylinders offensively when they are at home, the same has not been true while on the road this season. The Owls have scored at least 80 points in their five home games with a 4-1 record; on the road however, they have managed to score at least 80 points only three times, but have gone 11-5.

TEAM LEADERS

CAÑADA SCOUTING REPORT

Three teams are separated by one game for the top spot in the Coast-North Conference, and the Cañada Colts are right there in the chaos along with the Foothill Owls and the San Francisco Rams. After losing to San Francisco on Friday the 12th, the Colts currently sit at an overall record of 11-9 and a conference record of 3-1 — good enough for third in the Coast-North Conference. Although their record does not show it, the Colts are currently ranked in the top 10 in the state in overall offense and in the top 20 in points, rebounds, and assists per game. Even though the Colts are in the top 10 in terms of overall defense, they are mediocre in terms of points allowed, ranking in the bottom 15. With this game at home, the Owls hope for their offense to kick into high gear, fire on all cylinders, and come out with a dominating win.
