Over the past year, I made the decision to pursue photography as a career. It has been a passion of mine since childhood, though I never fully realized the joy it could bring me or others. From a young age, I always had a camera in hand, capturing landscape photos, unaware that it would lead me to where I am today. I’ve experienced many highs and lows, from the loss of family members to moments of immense joy. My photography leans toward a moody style, yet it also captures raw beauty that often goes unnoticed or unappreciated. Most of the images I’ve submitted are in black and white, as I believe this medium best conveys the emotions and draws the viewer in. However, I have also included a few color photos, as I enjoy capturing moments in both black and white and color, depending on the scene. I know it’s common to introduce yourself at the beginning, but I’d like to change that. My name is Emma Espinosa, and this is my work—an expression of art that I hope inspires you and offers you a new perspective.
