The Foothill College Football team suffered a tough loss versus the defending Bay 6 Conference and current #3 state-ranked College of San Mateo this Saturday, falling by a score of 49-14. This defeat dropped Foothill’s record to 4-2 (1-1 conf.) on the season.
It started well for the Owls, responding to a quick CSM touchdown with an electric 46 yard catch and run for a touchdown by WR Andre Jackson on a pass from QB Jayden Macedo.
Unfortunately, it was all CSM from thereon as the Bulldogs scored 6 unanswered touchdowns.
The Owls got the last word with a read-option touchdown run by QB Raymond Price, but ultimately it was a disappointing day for Foothill.
Standout performances were LB Jayson Crawley with an interception, WR Andre Jackson with 2 catches for 56 yards and touchdown, and LB Faapaia Fualema with 10 tackles including 3 for loss.
Owls will look to regroup next week with another tough matchup at home against Diablo Valley College, November 2nd @ 1pm.
