The Foothill College Football Team continued their hot start to the 2024 season this Saturday by winning their home opener 40-29 over Sierra College, improving their record to 3-0.
This is the Owls second 3-0 start in as many years, gaining some great momentum heading towards the challenging Bay 6 conference games coming up later this season.
It was a hard fought contest, yet the Owls emerged victorious behind strong performances, most notably Freshman QB Jayden Macedo and Sophomore WR Korey Bozovich.
Macedo completed 19 of his 34 pass attempts for 255 yards, as well as 3 touchdowns and 1 interception. Bozovich had 4 catches for 90 yards, highlighted by a 61 yard touchdown reception.
The Owls’ defense also put on a show, including Freshman LB Faapaia Fualema returning a 4th quarter interception 47 yards for a touchdown.
Foothill will travel to play Sacramento City College next week, before returning home to take on Laney College in their first Bay 6 conference game on Saturday, October 19th at 6:00pm.
