Foothill MSA Open Iftar: What is Ramadan?

Attorney Zahra Billo talks about importance of Ramadan for Muslim cultures.

The Foothill College Muslim Student Association hosted a free and open iftar for students, faculty, and community members on campus last week. Students from all faiths and backgrounds learned about Ramadan and why it is observed and broke the fast alongside friends at sunset. Several speakers, including Sheikh Adelrahman Sa’fan, spoke about the celebration and its importance to the Muslim community.
